TRAINING! Behavioral Health Integration for CHW Supervisors offered by ABCD
January 18 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST
ABCD is delighted to invite you to our new Behavioral Health training series for CHW teams. As you may be aware, we have developed two separate trainings, one for CHWs and one for CHW supervisors. These trainings began in October of 2021 and will be offered several times over the next year and a half.
You may know a CHW that has participated in the pilot CHW training and now we would like to invite you to the first CHW Supervisor training. Check out the flyer here: CHW_Supervisor_Flyer_2021 (4)
We developed this training in response to feedback from CHWs about their need for additional training on behavioral health topics in their work in primary care settings with adults. This training will complement the CHW Supervisor training funded by MassHealth over the past two years. The supervision training will focus on how to advocate on behalf of CHWs and to improve systems with the focus on integrating CHWs into BH services in community health centers and hospitals. The series will be interactive & skill-building with a mix of psychoeducation, case studies, & role plays, all presented with a racial equity lens by seasoned co- trainer CHWs and social workers currently doing this vital & challenging work.
We will be capping this course at 30 participants, in order to ensure an interactive experience for participants. Because of this, please only register if you know you will be able to attend both sessions (see dates and times below). If you are unable to attend this training, we can add you to the waiting list for future offerings.
