DESCRIPTION:🌟 Cast Your Vote for CHW Week Nominations! 🌟\n\n\n \n\n\nThe Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers (MACHW) wants to recognize and honor the outstanding service\, dedication\, and excellence of individuals and groups of individuals who serve their communities as Community Health Workers (CHWs)!\n\n\n \n\n\nThe APHA defines CHWs as “a frontline public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the CHW to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery.” CHWs may use other titles (e.g. patient navigator\, outreach worker\, etc.)\, and we encourage you to nominate anyone who fits the above description. \n\n\n \n\n\nMACHW has dedicated four awards to honor CHW efforts: \n\n\n \n\n\n1.CHW of the Year Award \n\n\n \n\n\n2.CHW Supervisor of the Year Award \n\n\n \n\n\n3.CHW Program of the Year Award \n\n\n \n\n\n4.CHW Champion of the Year Award \n\n\n \n\n\nThe “CHW of the Year Award” will recognize one outstanding CHW for their overall service and excellence\, and their courage in going above and beyond expectations. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe “CHW Supervisor of the Year Award” will recognize one outstanding CHW Supervisor for their incredible leadership. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe “CHW Program of the Year Award” will be given to a group of outstanding CHWs. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe “CHW Champion of the Year Award” will recognize one exceptional CHW for their effort and dedication to the advancement of the CHW profession.\n\n\n \n\n\nCast your vote here!\n\n\n \n\n\nWinners will be announced and presented with an award during CHW Week\, June 15-19\, 2026!
