SUMMARY:Affirmative Listening Session #3

There will be 6 monthly sessions\, starting on February 28th. The sessions will be one hour and provide a safe space to voice your concerns\, strategize with other CHWs about strategies to cope with our own and our clients’ \nfears and anxiety\, and to identify resources needed to equip CHWs to serve clients in the midst of the unpredictability of the political environment. \nThe first Affirmative Listening Session will be held on February 28th\, 2025. Thereafter the last Friday of every month\, through July 2025. 12 PM to 1 PM. \n\nFebruary 28\nMarch 28\nApril 25\nMay 30\nJune 27\nJuly 26\n\nIn order to ensure confidentiality\, only MACHW members will be able to register. SUMMARY:Affirmative Listening Session #1
DESCRIPTION:During times of fear\, uncertainty\, and divisive rhetoric\, it is crucial that we come together to support each other and our communities. \nWe understand the impact of feeling “unseen” when trying to access essential services for our clients—immigrants\, LGBTQ+\, Black\, Brown\, and those in need. That’s why we are launching an empowering\, confidential space for CHWs to share their concerns and discuss how we can collectively strengthen our support for those who need it most.
