Be part of a dynamic and high-functioning team advancing equity across the Commonwealth!  The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated professional to provide strategic vision and leadership as the Director of the Office of Community Health Workers. The incumbent helps to carry out the mission of DPH by coordinating intra-agency and statewide capacity-building initiatives to strengthen the Community Health Worker (CHW) workforce, a public health workforce who applies their unique understanding of the experience, language and/or culture of the populations they serve in order to carry out their job functions. The Director of the Office of CHWs provides content expertise to support implementation of Massachusetts CHW certification, and provides overall leadership on efforts within the Bureau of Community Health and Prevention to promote the CHW workforce, including integration into primary care and behavioral health teams as well as sustainable funding as part of covered services.
